DARBY DICKERSON
Vice President and Dean
Founded in 1900 as Florida’s first law school,
Stetson University College of Law has been
producing outstanding lawyers, judges and
other leaders for more than 100 years. This
tradition of excellence is important at Stetson,
but we also are responsive to the ever-changing
needs of our students and the legal profession.
The College is experiencing a period of
significant growth, including a new part-time
evening division and a diverse range of
specialty offerings. The College nevertheless
remains small enough to provide a close and
caring community environment with
individual attention given to student needs.
Stetson students are not numbers; instead, we
know them as individuals with unique
backgrounds, needs and goals. Located in a
secure and pleasant beachfront town near a
major metropolitan area, Stetson students
enjoy a high quality of life both on campus and
in the community.
A Stetson education is one that emphasizes
skills training and professionalism as crucial
complements to our mix of traditional and
cutting-edge doctrinal courses. Stetson
