First-year student Phylicia Pearson received Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers scholarship
The Hillsborough Association for Women Lawyers awarded Stetson University College of Law first-year student Phylicia Pearson a scholarship during their May 8 luncheon at the University Club of Tampa. Pearson was one of five students selected from the Tampa Bay area for the scholarship.

Stetson Law students win international advocacy awards in Austria
Stetson University College of Law students Paul Crochet, Meagan Foley and Alexander Zesch all received Honorable Mention Best Oral Advocate Awards at the Willem C. Stetson University College of Law students won the American Association for Justice Regional Mock Trial Championship on March 10 in Miami, Fla.

On Feb. 6, Stetson University introduced the Social Justice Advocacy Series to students on the Gulfport campus, featuring Robin Rosenberg, deputy director of Florida’s Children First.

Stetson University College of Law students won the Florida Bar Chester Bedell Mock Trial Competition on Jan. 18 in Orlando, Fla. Stetson has won the competition 20 out of 30 times, including last year. A total of 22 teams from 11 Florida law schools competed.
