“I commute by bicycle and bus because I am an environmentalist and I believe that biking and public transportation are essential to creating a sustainable society. There are other benefits as well: I can work instead of driving and get exercise instead of stressing about traffic. Public transportation can reduce pollution, the cost of living, the cost of transportation infrastructure, and congestion in our finite Pinellas County”- Professor Lance Long.
