March 22, 2002: St. Petersburg, Fla. - Top law students from five continents will showcase their client counseling skills in the 2002 International Client Counseling Competition on April 4-6 at Stetson University College of Law. Each member of the winning team will receive half-tuition scholarships to Stetson's Master of Law program in International Law. Competitors represent the top law school client counseling team of each country. Nations participating in the competition include Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland, England, Wales, Malaysia, South Africa, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Canada, England, the Cayman Islands and the United States. Tampa Bay area attorneys and counselors will judge the competition, which requires each team to counsel a fictional client on a problem related to international environmental law.
