Stetson Law students host program on free speech

October 4, 2002: Gulfport, Fla. - Public Service Fellows at Stetson University College of Law are presenting "Civil Liberties Post September 11" as their annual "First Monday in October " speakers program. The event will be held in Stetson's Great Hall on the Gulfport campus Monday at noon.

Guest speakers include Stetson Law professor Mark Brown and Stetson LL.M. student Angela Low from Malaysia. Ms. Low will speak about ethnic profiling, international travel and applying for a student visa post September 11.

The Stetson Public Service Fellows are law students interested in participating and promoting public service law. This Florida Bar Foundation-sponsored program requires each fellow to work a minimum of 120 hours per semester. Projects include assisting low-income families, working with the public defender's office, Public Interest Law Day and the Guardian Ad Litem Program.
