January 17, 2003:  Gulfport, Fla. - R. James Woolsey, former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, will discuss the war on terrorism during a guest appearance at Stetson University College of Law on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Stetson's Great Hall. The presentation is open to the public.

During the 12 years he served in the U.S. Government, Mr. Woolsey held presidential appointments in two Democratic and two Republican administrations. He was Director of Central Intelligence in 1993-95. He also served as ambassador to the Negotiation on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe, under secretary of the Navy and general counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services. He is currently with the firm of Booz Allen Hamilton in McLean, Va., and serves as a vice president of the firm's Global Strategic Security practice.

Stetson Professor Luz Nagle, a nationally recognized expert on international criminal law, invited Mr. Woolsey to speak at Stetson. Later in the day, Mr. Woolsey will be a guest speaker before the Tampa Bay Area Committee on Foreign Relations.
