- Teams from China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Mongolia, Guam, and Saipan must participate in the East Asia Regional Round to advance to the International Finals.
- Other East Asian and South Asian countries will be allowed to participate at East Asia Regionals in Seoul.

- Competition: Nov. 27 - Dec. 1, 2012
