SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

• U.S. National Ramsar Committee
  Stetson students worked with existing U.S. Ramsar sites to assist the sites in updating their Ramsar Information Sheets (RIS). Students also worked with Audubon's Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and adjacent Panther Island Mitigation Bank in drafting an RIS, which is the first step toward seeking designation as a wetland of international importance. Students had the opportunity to visit the site and had an overview of the area by helicopter.
