Shirley A. Wiegand is a visiting professor at Stetson during the spring semester 2008. She is also Professor of Law Emerita at Marquette University Law School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her J.D. and Master's Degree from the University of Kentucky and practiced law in Lexington, Kentucky for five years. In 1988, she joined the University of Oklahoma College of Law faculty, where she earned tenure and remained for seven years. From 1995 - 2007 she was a member of the Marquette University Law School faculty, except for one year as a visiting professor at American University, Washington College of Law. She retired from the Marquette Law faculty in May 2007. Today her permanent residence is in Tallahassee, Florida with her husband, Wayne, a professor at Florida State University. Professor Wiegand has published numerous articles in the area of civil litigation and dispute resolution and is a member of the American Law Institute.
