Professor Uzdavines graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Florida and magna cum laude with her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Professor Uzdavines served as symposium editor on the Florida Law Review, graduated in the top two percent of her class, and was named a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif. In addition, Professor Uzdavines was a teaching fellow for Legal Research and Writing, Appellate Advocacy, Estates and Trusts, and Trial Practice. After law school, she joined the international firm of Holland & Knight LLC in Tampa, Fla., where she practiced corporate law and business transactions.
After leaving Holland & Knight LLC, Professor Uzdavines opened the firm Uzdavines Law Group P.A. in Clearwater, Fla. She practiced real estate law, condominium law, creditor’s rights and estates and trusts. She has represented national lenders in foreclosure litigation cases throughout the entire state of Florida. Professor Uzdavines also has counseled clients on the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act and the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Professor Uzdavines is a member of The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. She teaches in the area of legal research and writing.
