Stetson University College of Law will welcome Justice Andrew G.T. Moore II as a Distinguished Professorial Lecturer starting in spring 2006. Justice Moore served on the Delaware Supreme Court for more than 12 years beginning in 1982. In that time he wrote opinions on many prominent takeover and corporate governance cases, including Revlon and Unocal.

Justice Moore is a senior adviser to the international investment banking firm Dresdner, Kleinwort, Wasserstein LLP, where he has served in several capacities since 1994. Prior to his appointment to the state's high court, Justice Moore practiced law in Wilmington, Delaware, for 18 years with a focus in corporate litigation. He was a partner in the firm Connolly, Bove, Lodge & Hutz.

Since 1994, Justice Moore has taught as a distinguished visiting professor at several law schools, and prior to that taught as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer. In 1994, the American Bar Association conferred a Certificate of Appreciation upon Justice Moore in recognition of his distinguished service in the promotion of lawyer recovery from addiction. A New Orleans native, Justice Moore also served as Stetson's inaugural Jurist-in-residence in 2005.
