Kurt W. Lenz practiced law as a commercial litigator in New York and Pennsylvania for 10 years prior to joining the College of Law's faculty as a visiting professor. During his practice, Mr. Lenz tried a number of cases to verdict before state and federal courts, as well as AAA arbitration panels, and argued several significant cases on appeal.
Mr. Lenz is currently pursuing a graduate degree in applied linguistics from the University of South Florida, where his research interests include forensic linguistics, discourse analysis of custodial police interrogations, and a comparative analysis of the U.S. and Indian legal systems' accommodation of non-native language speakers.
Mr. Lenz graduated from Duquesne University in 1994 with a degree in English and again in 1997 with his J.D. degree. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Board, executive editor of the Business Law Journal, and vice president of the Corporate Law Society.
