Professor Anderson is the Richard M. and Anita Calkins Distinguished Professor of Law at Drake University Law School. After law school, he clerked for Judge Alex Kozinski on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and practiced environmental law in Kansas City. He began his teaching career at the University of Oklahoma. He is the co-author of a course book, Environmental Law Practice, and numerous articles on environmental and property law issues. His latest article on the "right to roam" under British law was published in Georgetown International Environmental Law Review. Anderson serves on the board of editors of an international journal, Environmental Law Review. He has been a professor at Drake since 1991, serving as Associate Dean from 1996-2001
