t Tulane, Professor Graves served as a Notes and Comments editor of the Tulane Law Review and was named best writer of his 2L Review class. He was extensively involved in Tulane's advocacy competition programs, winning all intraschool competitions for individuals as well as many interscholastic moot court awards.
After graduation, Professor Graves served as a judicial law clerk to federal district court Judge Henry A. Mentz, Jr. in New Orleans. His litigation practice in Houston, Texas emphasized products liability, insured-insurer actions, intellectual property, and appellate work. He served with the University of Houston Law Foundation as a CLE instructor and author of course materials. His substantial work with the State Bar of Texas included serving as editor-in-chief of the third edition of the Bar's treatise on ethics, malpractice, and disciplinary procedure.
