Professor Brown is Editor of the two-volume treatise, Florida Environmental and Land Use Law, published by The Florida Bar. He is the continuation author of Yokley's Zoning Law and Practice, the oldest national treatise of the subject, and is the author of other publications on Real Property, Environmental Law and Land Use Planning. In 1980, he was appointed by Florida Governor Bob Graham to the Governor's Advisory Committee on Secret Land Trusts. He has been an active member of the Executive Councils of the Environmental & Land Use Law Section, the City, County and Local Government Law Section and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar. Professor Brown is an active member and Past President of Scribes, the American Society of Writers on Legal Subjects. He has been in law teaching since 1970, following five years of practice in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the Florida and Ohio Bar Associations.
