Professor Bedi teaches Civil Procedure, Federal Criminal Law, Military Law, Professional Responsibility, and Torts. His scholarly research focuses on the intersection between federal criminal law and criminal theory, and his articles have appeared or will appear in the Georgia State Law Review, Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and Michigan State Law Review.
Before joining Stetson as an inaugural Bruce R. Jacob Visiting Assistant Professor of Law, Professor Monu Bedi worked as a litigation associate at Ropes and Gray in Boston, where his practice focused on government enforcement matters, including defending financial institutions and pharmaceutical companies in regulatory and criminal actions. Prior to entering private practice, he clerked for Judge Laura Taylor Swain on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also served as a Lieutenant in the Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps and prosecuted sailors accused of crimes ranging from bank fraud to attempted murder.
Professor Bedi graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College with a degree in philosophy. He completed graduate work in philosophy from King's College, University of Cambridge. He earned his law degree from Harvard, where he was senior editor of the Harvard Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review.
