TRIAL TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Trial Team ATLA Regional Student Trial Advocacy Competition

A Stetson team placed second in the ATLA Regional Student Trial Advocacy Competition in Miami Feb. 26-27. The team of Dawn Adams, Mike Massari, Cameron Croft and Shawn McMillen lost to Barry University in the finals. The Stetson team beat the University of Florida in the semi-finals and teams from Florida State University, Florida Coastal School of Law and Southern University in preliminary rounds. A second Stetson team of students Andy Stein, Tiffany Stucker, Reneka Redmond and Andrew Switlyk defeated University of Miami and Florida Coastal School of Law before losing to the University of Florida. Professor Lee Coppock coached both teams and Professor Pam Bell accompanied them as Trial Team adviser. "Both teams did a magnificent job. They were professional and represented Stetson well," Bell said. "We are proud of all who participated."
