Fundamental Trial Advocacy, Thomson West, November 2007

This text encompasses the Stetson approach when teaching trial advocacy and is useful for basic trial advocacy classes, advanced trial advocacy classes, as a supplement to clinical programs and as a primer for attorneys practicing the art, law and skill of trial advocacy. Professors who adopt this text are provided access to the Stetson Online Advocacy Resource Center, and will be supported by the Stetson Center for Excellence in Advocacy with case files, critique plans and a full length teacher’s manual, complete with drills and developmental tasks that are easily assigned regardless of the case files assigned for a particular course.

Fundamental Pretrial Advocacy: A Strategic Guide to Effective Litigation, Thomson West, November 2008

This text encompasses the Stetson approach when teaching pretrial litigation, whether as an advocacy course, skills course or substantive review of civil procedure. It functions well as supporting text for civil internships, clinics and as a supplemental reading for civil procedure courses. Fundamental Pretrial Advocacy places civil procedure in context, combining the procedural law with real world ethical concerns and advocacy decisions that impact case analysis, investigation and ultimately disposition of the case. Professors who adopt this text are provided access to the Stetson Online Advocacy Resource Center, and will be supported by a full length teacher’s manual, complete with problems that are easily assigned regardless of the case files used for a particular course.

Case Files:

In the future Stetson will publish case files available for all registered members of the CEA online community to download. Refer back to this Webpage or the What’s New Webpage for release dates and download instructions.
