Perspectives on Current Topics in Higher Education Law & Policy

Professor Tim Kaye: Education, Rights and The Spectre of Consumerism One of the purposes of the Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy is to facilitate an ongoing dialogue among scholars and practitioners on currently important topics in higher education - emphasizing the intersection of law and policy, and the interdisciplinary nature of higher education law and administration. The "scholar-practitioners" who contribute to this section do so in the hope of stimulating thought and dialogue among the students, faculty, and practicing professionals who are connected in some way to the Center's programs. The Commentaries will always be very brief - as our purpose is simply to facilitate the discussion of a topic which is interesting to all of us who are engaged at the law and policy level of higher education administration.
