Commencement Speaker:

Stetson Law graduate Pam Bondi ’90 was sworn in on Jan. 4, 2011, as Florida’s 37th attorney general. She was the first woman to be elected the state’s chief legal officer.

Bondi earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Florida and a law degree from Stetson in 1990. She spent the next 18 years as a prosecutor and assistant state attorney in the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County.

Bondi said that her deep Florida roots serve as the guiding force for her work as attorney general. “I have a true love for this state and want to be remembered for doing everything in my power to make Florida the best and the safest state that it can be for people to live, work and raise a family.”
