Dukes’ career maintains a focus on representing the public interest and providing public service. Upon graduation from law school, Dukes served as an honors attorney with the Office of the Florida Attorney General in Tallahassee, Fla. Working in the Economic Crimes Division, he focused on consumer matters involving false and deceptive trade practices and price gouging.
After leaving the Office of the Attorney General, Dukes worked as Senior Project Manager with Government Services Group. While there, he assisted and directed public and private sector entities to develop and implement revenue enhancement and financial funding solutions for capital and service projects.
Dukes later joined the private sector as an associate with the Sniffen Law Firm. While in private practice, he represented the public and private sectors in the areas of administrative law, commercial transactions and commercial litigation, negligence defense, and local government taxation.
In April 2008, Dukes returned to the Tampa Bay area and Stetson Law’s Center for Excellence in Elder Law, where he serves as the program administrator for the Elder Consumer Protection Program. As program administrator for the Elder Consumer Protection Program at Stetson Law, Dukes is regularly contacted by journalists to provide his legal expertise in print and broadcast interviews. In addition, Dukes frequently speaks at community education speeches and professional development presentations throughout Florida.
Dukes is licensed with The Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
