As program administrator for the Elder Consumer Protection Program at Stetson Law, Slade V. Dukes is regularly contacted by members of the public, professional groups, and media journalists to provide his professional and legal expertise. Dukes welcomes the opportunity to provide community education speeches, professional development presentations, and informational commentary regarding matters relating to elder consumer protection and awareness.

Elder Consumer Protection Law Day
Thursday, April 19, 2012 (8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

The Elder Consumer Protection Program at Stetson University College of Law's Center for Excellence in Elder Law is proud to sponsor and host another Elder Consumer Protection Law Day event. Members of the public are invited to attend this free community education event.

The event provides members of the public with an opportunity to hear from presenters and speak with exhibitors regarding current and developing matters in the area of consumer protection and awareness. With a focus toward elders and a spotlight on scams and frauds, presenters and exhibitors will be representing local, regional, state, and national organizations and agencies.

Free consumer protection services will be provided, including secure on-site document shredding, do-not-call/opt-out registration, and free credit report registration. While legal issues will be discussed, no legal advice, legal representation or legal education credit will be provided.
