ANNOUNCES
The 29th Annual National Conference on
Law & Higher Education
February 16-20, 2008
Sheraton Sand Key, Clearwater Beach, Florida
A Commitment to Interdisciplinary
Professional Development
For almost 30 years, Stetson University has served as a leader in the field of higher
education law and policy. When the National Conference debuted in 1980, it was unique because
it focused on the interdisciplinary dialogue among a wide variety of higher education professionals, including attorneys, university presidents, provosts, deans, student affairs leaders, risk managers, insurance industry representatives, and many others. Although the Conference has evolved over time, our commitment remains the same: to provide an opportunity for in-depth, interdisciplinary discussion of the most important legal issues facing higher education today, and in the future. As you review this year’s agenda, you will see both familiar and new features. We have added networking opportunities, programming on Sunday morning, a workshop on legal scholarship with Professor William A. Kaplin, and individual consultative sessions. We have also included some fun yet educational opportunities, such as the “Movie Night” feature on Monday evening. Although a few new features carry a separate ticket price, most are available through the regular registration fee.
We hope that many of you will participate in and enjoy these new aspects of the Conference.
For past Conference attendees, we appreciate your continued confidence and support. For those
who have not had the opportunity to attend, we urge you to participate and learn why the National
Conference has been internationally recognized for excellence and effectiveness.
We look forward to seeing you in February.
