OVERVIEW

The Office of Career Development is dedicated to helping students and Stetson graduates reach their ultimate goals in the legal community.  The office assists students and graduates in securing all types of legal employment and provides group seminars and individual counseling sessions on subjects ranging from resume writing to job search strategies.

The Career Development Office serves as a liaison between students and legal employers.  Each Fall semester numerous legal employers visit our campus to conduct on-campus interviews with second and third year students. The office also posts hundreds of job postings during the year for associate, clerks and judicial clerkships.

Our office hours are Monday–Thursday 8:30am–6pm and Fridays from 8:30am–5pm. .  Evening appointments can be arranged by calling the office at (727) 562-7815. The office contains a well-stocked library of career-related resource books, many of which may be checked out overnight.  The office also houses a forty-bin copier, two computers with laser printers and a fax machine -- all of which are available for job search purposes.

Stetson University College of Law is committed to a policy against discrimination in employment based on race, color, religion, sex, age, veteran status, national origin, sexual orientation or handicap.  The services of this office are available only to those employers whose practices are consistent with this policy.
